The Evolution of Kay Allure: From 2020 to Now
5 years ago I wrote my very first blogs about choosing myself, stepping into spirituality and learning to honor my own energy. Back then I was searching finding pieces of myself in the quiet moments (all while learning my craft), in the little rituals that made me feel grounded. I honestly didnt know then that I was planting seeds for a journey that would transform everything: my art, my motherhod, my business, and my connection to the Divine. Looking back I see now how far I’ve come (yall as I am writing this how ironic Ms. Lisa Ramos is on my tv and as I am writing “how far I’ve come” she says “look how far you have come) lol back to the blog. Every challenge, every victory, every moment of doubt, they all shaped me into the woman and creator I am… Mother of creator, and I want to share that journey with you.
Choosing Me Everyday
2020 was about learning to put myself first, to listen to my intuition, and to trust my own path. Being a mom added a beautiful, complicated layer to that. There were days I questioned if I could do it all balance motherhood, creativity, and business but I learned something crucial: choosing myself doesn’t take away from being a mother, a woman, or a creator. It actually allows me to show up fully in every part of my life.
Fashion As Ritual. Art As Prayer
My work has always been more than fashion, its energy. Every piece I create carries intention. From chained body pieces, to resin art. From lingerie to waist beads I pour a part of myself into every stitch, every scent in candles, every detail. Fashion became my spiritual practice, a way to honor the feminine energy that exists in all of us. Each creation is an invitation: an invitation to step into your own power to feel seen, to reclaim your sensuality, and to celebrate yourself unapologetically.
Spirituality At The Core
Spirit guides everything I do. I always confide in spirit when decision making. The way I design, the way I curate, even the way i connect with my clients and collaborators it’s all rooted in energy, intention, and ritual. Lighting a candle, selecting right fabrics, crafting a piece with care these aren’t “tasks” they’re sacred acts, and the energy I put into my work comes back to me and to everyone who experiences it.
